“To the Wedding Entertainment Directors Guild:
I am writing this letter in support of DJ Mike Obara to be accepted as a member of your prestigious guild. Mike was the DJ at our daughter’s wedding this past June which was held at our home. Mike was the last of 4 DJ’s we interviewed and we knew right away he would be the right match. From the beginning, he was professional, responsive and reliable. He was available to us throughout the year of wedding planning and made the process of planning entertainment for the wedding easy and thorough. He listened to my daughter and her fiancé truly “getting” the kind of wedding they wanted. He provided advice by sharing his wealth of experience but not being pushy about what they should or shouldn’t do in terms of music and scheduling. He is up to date with technology which enhanced an interactive relationship as the planning evolved. The kids were able to choose the genre, music they wanted played, didn’t want played, and Mike had just the right sense which he shared of how the event should flow and it did, perfectly. They asked for him to guide us through the day while remaining a quiet presence. His timing was impeccable and his advice proved to make our wedding a thoroughly enjoyable day and evening which I do believe he enjoyed as much as we did. His sensitivity to us and our guests was reflected in his attentiveness to how the evening unfolded, and his flexibility. Here is one example. For reasons beyond our control, the ceremony started late, because the transportation to the wedding for some of the guests was delayed.
It happened that the day of the wedding was also a major milestone for us, my daughter’s in-laws and my parents, all of us sharing milestone anniversaries. Mike had suggested earlier in the year that we each dance to the song we had danced to at each of our weddings. But the night was getting late and Mike suggested that these anniversary dances might prove to make the guests feel like the night was dragging on. We listened and how right he was. The guests were anxious to participate and dance themselves and dance they did. I hope that you consider accepting Mike into your guild. We could not have been happier with our choice of using Mike. He will be an asset to your organization.”
